Karen Rae Selm is the founder of Threefold Impact Solutions. Her background spans advertising, marketing, small-business consulting, nonprofit leadership, organizational development, program design, community partnerships, fundraising strategy, communications, and systems development.
She enjoys seeing the possibilities in an idea and helping people build a path toward them — bringing strategic thinking and creative direction together with an eye for the details that help an initiative work in real life.
A Life Shaped by Resilience
Karen Rae has navigated seasons most people never talk about publicly — single motherhood, financial hardship, career pivots, and the kind of loss that reorders your priorities overnight.
Rather than letting those seasons define her, she allowed them to refine her. Every challenge became curriculum. Every setback became a setup for the next chapter.
Today she brings that hard-won wisdom into every room she enters — whether she is coaching a nonprofit leader, speaking to a room of women, or sitting across from a client who just needs someone to believe in what they are building.

More Than Twenty Years
Karen Rae spent more than two decades working in ministry, nonprofit leadership, and community development before launching Threefold Impact Solutions.
She has served on church staffs, led community outreach initiatives, built programs from scratch, and helped organizations find their footing when the path forward was unclear.
That breadth of experience is exactly what makes her effective. She does not just understand the theory — she has lived the work.
The Moment Everything Changed
It was in the aftermath of significant personal loss that Karen Rae heard the call most clearly. The noise of what could have been finally gave way to the clarity of what was meant to be.
God does not waste a single chapter of your story.
In that season, she began asking the questions she had been too busy to sit with before:
- What if the hardest parts of my story are actually the most important parts?
- What if the women around me are carrying the same weight and just need someone to go first?
- What if I stopped waiting to be ready and simply said yes?
Those questions led to action. That action became Made for Impact.
She stopped waiting for permission and started walking in purpose.
And she has never looked back.
